Not long ago, Cam Reddish was one of the most highly regarded high school basketball players in the world. He knew he’d realize his NBA dreams. He probably didn’t anticipate getting traded twice in his rookie contract.
It’s beginning to look like that’s exactly what’s happening. Reddish was shipped from the Atlanta Hawks to the New York Knicks at this year’s trade deadline. It was supposed to be a fresh start, but Reddish hardly saw the floor in Madison Square Garden.

In practice, defensive metrics have painted him as a distinct negative throughout his NBA career. His three-point shooting has been maddeningly inconsistent as well.
