Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are on the cusp of being legitimate championship contenders in the Western Conference. They have the reigning, a very possible back-to-back MVP, Nikola Jokic as the centerpiece of the team. He has been excellent this season, but the team could use a little bit of an upgrade around him.
Jamal Murray is a solid player but has yet to make an All-Star game in his career. He has missed the entire season because of an ACL tear suffered last season. Michael Porter Jr. is the other big piece of the team but missed all but nine games this season undergoing another back procedure.
Either one of those players could be used as the centerpiece of a deal to bring in Bradley Beal, who would present an upgrade right now. Lacking much draft capital, Denver would have to get creative, maybe including a third team in the deal. Bones Hyland could be used as part of the deal along with Will Barton.
With other teams making improvements in the Western Conference, the Nuggets have to keep pace. The franchise should capitalize on what they have in Jokic and acquiring Beal would accomplish that.
