3. LA Clippers
The LA Clippers have some work to do when it comes to even making the playoff field. They are locked into the eighth seed in the Western Conference, meaning they will match up with the Minnesota Timberwolves to play for the seventh seed in the playoff bracket.
Earning the seventh seed would result in a matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round. For the experienced Clippers, that is a matchup they could find some success in as they are getting healthier.
As we saw in last year’s playoffs, the Clippers are a dangerous team even without Kawhi Leonard. Paul George led the way as they picked up a second-round series win over the Utah Jazz and then pushed the Suns to six games in the Western Conference Finals.
George is back in the lineup and knocking off the rust. The same can be said for Norman Powell, who returned to the lineup earlier this week. If Leonard also comes back to the court, the LA Clippers become a dark horse to make some noise in the postseason.
