The inevitable is now official – the New York Knicks have been eliminated from NBA postseason contention.
After a 5-1 start that gave fans hope early on, the Knicks quickly began their nosedive that left everyone wondering which direction the team is heading.
New York is currently 35-44 and 11th in the Eastern Conference. This was not where it wanted to be following a season that ended as the fourth seed.
At this point, RJ Barrett might be the only piece that is safe in New York and that includes the coaching staff. The Knicks might be out of playoff contention but they still have many players fighting for a job or a new contract.
