Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
Whether they want to say so or not, the Indiana Pacers are rebuilding and it should not come as a surprise to see them move either Myles Turner and/or Malcolm Brogdon in the offseason.
The future of this franchise is definitely in question right now and building for the future seems like the only path set in front of them at this point, especially after trading Caris LeVert and Domantas Sabonis at the trade deadline this season.
Duncan Robinson is not a franchise-altering talent, but he is one of the best three-point shooters in the league. Indiana ranks 25th in the league this year in three-point shooting percentage and with Buddy Hield being on the wing, the Pacers could look to turn themselves into a strong perimeter-focused team with the addition of Robinson.
Trading Myles Turner to another Eastern Conference team is probably not what the Indiana Pacers have in mind, as they would run into him multiple times over the course of the regular season, but they need to try and get value for him now in the final year of his contract.

The Pacers have Isaiah Jackson, Goga Bitadze and Jalen Smith as younger frontcourt options, which is why Myles Turner has suddenly become expendable to this franchise.
