The last thing the Los Angeles Lakers will want to do in the offseason is bring in more veterans, especially an injury-prone one like Derrick Rose, but they have pursued him in the past and the Lakers really cannot dictate the terms of a Westbrook trade this offseason, especially since they are wanting to do whatever it takes to move him.

The Knicks are not expected to have interest in trading for Russell Westbrook, but he is certainly a possibility for them since he is in the final year of his contract and since they have a need for a point guard.
Bringing back Derrick Rose in a package for Westbrook may not be the worst thing in the world for the Los Angeles Lakers, especially since Rose would complement the play of LeBron James and Anthony Davis quite nicely on the perimeter.
