The Philadelphia 76ers made a huge trade ahead of the deadline acquiring James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets. Daryl Morey was determined to add a second All-Star to pair with Joel Embiid and he succeeded as Harden and Embiid are one of the best duos in the NBA.

Philadelphia already looked like title contenders before the trade, but with Harden in the fold, some people believe they are the favorites in the Eastern Conference.

Having one player you can rely upon to get baskets in crunch time is hard enough to find, but the 76ers now have two that can get the job done in addition to Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris.

The Philadelphia 76ers are certainly a dangerous team as they are currently constructed, but they may not be done adding talent to the mix. There have been some rumors floating around that the 76ers are interested in creating a Big 3 with Bradley Beal being the third All-Star along with Embiid and Harden.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: 76ers Tried To Trade For Bradley Beal Before James Harden

Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report recently appeared on the Liberty Ballers podcast to discuss the possibility of Beal joining the 76ers. Based on what Fischer has shared, there is a real chance this can be done.

“Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer on Liberty Ballers podcast: “There’s a lot of smoke about [Bradley] Beal’s free agency decision. People are talking about the Philly outcome, right with the potential for Harden to take less money, it could be maybe a sign-and-trade with Tobias….”

Teams around the NBA were worried this could be the outcome following the Harden trade as there was speculation that there was some tampering involved in the process. If Morey can pull off a deal that not only unloads Harris but brings Bradley Beal to the City of Brotherly Love, it would be a huge win for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Having a trio of Embiid, Harden and Beal would be an unstoppable trio for opponents to slow down. But, it would certainly cost them some more pieces of their rotation to land someone of Beal’s caliber.

In addition to Harris, the Wizards would likely try to acquire Maxey or Matisse Thybulle as part of the deal. Some combination of young players and draft capital along with Harris is the bare minimum that Washington would require to part ways with Bradley Beal in a sign-and-trade deal.
