Ever since they won their last championship in 2018, the Golden State Warriors have been an NBA franchise that has been ruined due to injuries.
The last two seasons are not symbolic of the dynasty the Warriors have been over the last decade or so, as Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Draymond Green and others have all missed chunks of time over the last three seasons due to injuries.
This season, while they still have dealt with injury concerns, has been different though, as the Warriors have recaptured some of their championship tendencies from a few seasons ago.
Currently 48-26, the Warriors are two games back from the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2-seed in the Western Conference and they once again have “championship” on their minds even though they have not looked like much of a championship-contending team over the last month or so due to their core still dealing with injuries.

“Obviously the two seed will be great, but we’re not chasing it,” Draymond Green said after a recent Warriors’ victory. “We’re going to make sure we do everything we can to stay healthy coming down the stretch, not going to make any boneheaded decisions trying to chase the two seed. Whether we’re two seed or three seed, we’re going to win a championship, so it don’t really matter.”
With Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson all on the floor together, as well as the Golden State Warriors having Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr., Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney, and Andrew Wiggins healthy, the Warriors definitely have a chance to win another title this season, but getting healthy will be the key for this team as they get ready for the start of the playoffs.

Regardless of how things play out in the postseason for the Warriors, the mindset of contending for a championship will not change once the offseason begins.
GM Bob Myers and the Warriors’ front-office know the blueprint to building a successful, championship-contending team in the NBA, which is why the Warriors will once again be busy in the offseason.

The Warriors are currently projected to be close to $30 million over the tax line entering the 2022-23 season, but they have been a taxpaying team in the past and are willing to spend any amount of money to make sure this team can contend for a title.
As a result, let’s take a look at three potential offseason moves the Golden State Warriors’ front-office could already be thinking about in order to maximize their title window moving forward.
