All the talk this NBA season in regards to championship contenders has revolved around the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks, but the young Memphis Grizzlies have really made a name for themselves.
They may not have much overall team experience and they may be one of the youngest teams in the entire league, but the Grizzlies look like a group of 10-year veterans that have played together for eons and their energy is contagious.
No team in the league has more fun than the Grizzlies do and they have one of the brightest young stars of the league leading them in Ja Morant.
In his third season, Ja Morant has not only elevated his own play to new heights, putting himself in the MVP conversation, but he has taken the Memphis Grizzlies to new heights, as the team is currently 51-23 and not showing any signs of slowing down heading into the playoffs.

Clinching their playoff spot with a win over the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night, Memphis is going to the postseason for the second straight season and have won at least 50 games for the first-time since the 2014-15 season.
“It’s cool, I guess,” Jaren Jackson Jr. said in response to his team clinching a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
“But we’ve got to move on. The playoffs are going to come soon. Before we know it, we’re going to be in it. The goal will change. We want to win a series, and then the next one. One game at a time. But the goal is to win a championship.”

Having all the confidence in the world and posting a 16-2 record without Ja Morant on the floor this season, the Grizzlies have depth, they bring energy and most importantly, they play together as one unit with no egos getting in the way, which is why it is time to stop sleeping on this team as a real championship threat inthe Western Conference.
Beating both the Warriors and Suns on the road this season, the two other top teams in the West, the Memphis Grizzlies have nothing else to prove this year, but they do have some key questions facing them as they get ready for the playoffs.
