How This Trade Impacts Miami Heat
Pat Riley isn’t shy about making moves to shake up the roster. The No. 1 goal with the Miami Heat is to win championships and if the opportunity presents itself, they will take a shot on it.
While it would seem odd for a team performing as well as the Heat are this season to make a big trade, you can never count it out. There have been reports that they are willing to part with Tyler Herro for a big-time player and Bradley Beal would certainly qualify.
Beal would provide Miami with a star offensive player to run their offense through. He would take a lot of pressure off of the rest of the starting group that possesses enough defensive-minded players to make up for whatever Beal is lacking on that side of the court.
A team that is always in win-now mode, the Heat have no problem mortgaging their future in the form of three future first-round picks. Tyler Herro’s ascension is also something they will take into consideration.

If Miami doesn’t believe he is more than a high-scoring sixth man with some playmaking upside, this is a no-brainer deal to make. If they believe he has All-Star potential and can convince Washington of that as well, they can maybe save themselves one first-round pick and make it a second-rounder.
Duncan Robinson is likely going to be moved by Miami this season to get under the luxury tax number. P.J. Tucker is used to help match salary to complete the deal.
