OTHER KEY NEWS & RUMORS FROM AROUND THE NBA

Atlanta Hawks: Sources tell NBA Analysis Network that the Hawks are going to be “very active” on the trade market this upcoming offseason and that it is much more likely that they look to move on from Danilo Gallinari than it is Bogdan Bogdanovic, both of which will be entering the final guaranteed year of their respective contracts.

Clint Capela is an interesting name that has been brought up in some small talks around the league and there is a growing belief that the Hawks could potentially shop Capela to test his value on the market, especially since they like what they have in Onyeka Okongwu.

Chicago Bulls: Coby White is expected to be on the trade block entering the final year of his rookie deal in Chicago this upcoming offseason. While a key part of the Bulls’ second-unit, Chicago is looking to get value for White while they can, given that they have a crowded backcourt with Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and Ayo Dosunmu.

Denver Nuggets: The Nuggets assigned Jamal Murray to the G-League last week to get some practice in with the Grand Rapids Gold, the G-League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, as part of his ACL rehab assignment. However, Murray is still on the road to recovery for the Nuggets, as is Michael Porter Jr., who has not played since suffering a back injury in November.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: This Heat-Wizards Trade Lands Bradley Beal In Miami

Denver is being very cautious with both players as they work their way back from injury and with the Nuggets having ten regular-season games left, it is unlikely at this time that either player returns to action before the playoffs. It is possible that both players could return to the floor in some capacity in the playoffs/play-in tournament, but the Nuggets have made it clear that they will not be rushing either player back until they are fully healed.

Sacramento Kings: Kings’ center Richaun Holmes has been shut down for the remainder of the 2021-22 season due to personal reasons. Holmes averaged just 10.4 points, and 7.0 rebounds while seeing his minutes decline over the course of the year.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: This Heat-Wizards Trade Lands Bradley Beal In Miami

With Domantas Sabonis now in Sacramento and Trey Lyles playing well, Richaun Holmes’ outlook moving forward looks minimal, leading to questions about his future with the Kings just one year removed from signing a four-year, $46.5 million deal. Several teams are expected to show trade interest in Holmes heading into the offseason.
