How This Trade Impacts Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks are looking like contenders once again in the Eastern Conference as we head toward the 2022 postseason. They got Brook Lopez back in the fold this week, as he returned following a procedure on his back that had kept him out of every game except opening night.
Going through almost the entire season without Lopez, he is probably someone that will be expendable for the Bucks this offseason as they look to upgrade their roster. Despite him having a positive impact during their run last season, the Bucks know they can succeed without him.
One potential hole could be on the wing, as Pat Connaughton has a player option and has played well enough to warrant a raise. If he prices himself out of Milwaukee, the Bucks will need a replacement and Luke Kennard would be a solid one.
Kennard leads the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage, knocking down 45.5 percent of his attempts. Kennard is four years younger than Connaughton and can similarly impact the game.

Given the fact that Kennard has three more seasons remaining on his deal, the Milwaukee Bucks get a future second-round pick as well. Second-rounders are always a good asset to help facilitate deals.
