Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks (42-26) are set to take on Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets (36-33) in part of the NBA Wednesday slate.
Given this is a Nets home game, Kyrie Irving will be allowed to attend as a fan, but not play in the game. Goran Dragic will step into a larger role as a result. He dropped 60 points in their road win over the Orlando Magic, but again, he won’t be eligible to play against the Mavericks.
In the Mavericks’ previous outing, they took down the scorching hot Boston Celtics in a 95-92 win at TD Garden in what was Kevin Garnett’s jersey retirement. Luka Doncic has been operating with precision throughout this season and will look to continue that against the Nets.
Durant and Doncic each are coming off a sensational week that featured both of them earning the NBA Conference Player of the Week award. A head-to-head matchup between the two will be the top storyline.
