Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns (55-14) took on Jonas Valanciunas and the New Orleans Pelicans (28-41) in part of the Tuesday NBA slate. The Suns came out with a 131-115 win.
It was a methodical win for the Suns in this one as they outscored the Pelicans in each quarter but never did so by more than five points. Devin Booker led the way with 27 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.
In addition to Booker’s 27 points, the Suns received 20 points from Mikal Bridges along with double-figure scoring outings from JaVale McGee (19), Deandre Ayton (18), Cameron Payne (14), and Torrey Craig (11).
The well-oiled machine known as the Phoenix Suns continues to thrive without Chris Paul in the lineup. Devin Booker’s return from the NBA health & safety protocol has been key and the team hasn’t missed a beat. They embarrassed the Los Angeles Lakers in their last game in what became a 140-111 win.
