Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (43-26) took on Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz (42-26) in part of the NBA Monday slate. The Bucks got the win with 117-111 being the final score.
Both teams came out with momentum early as the Jazz (39) and Bucks (37) nearly had 40 points apiece in the first quarter. Each team took turns posting a double-figure scoring differential in the subsequent quarters to come. However, the Bucks took care of business in the fourth quarter—outscoring Utah by 10.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished his night with 30 points, 15 rebounds, and four assists. His performance was followed by 39 points, seven rebounds, and five assists from Jrue Holiday while Khris Middleton managed to chip in 23 points of his own.
The Jazz received a combined 58 points (29 apiece) from Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley in this one. It didn’t hurt that Rudy Gobert had 18 points and 14 rebounds, but there was just not enough help from much of the supporting cast in this one.
