De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings (24-45) took on Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz (42-25) in part of the Saturday NBA slate. It was the Jazz who came out on top with 134-125 being the final score.
The Utah Jazz was coming off a disappointing 104-102 loss to the San Antonio Spurs and will look to bounce back in order to avoid getting passed up by the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference standings. They did so without Rudy Gobert in the lineup.
Donovan Mitchell had a respectable 25 points, five rebounds, and six assists, but he received a lot of help scoring the basketball inis one. For starters, Jordan Clarkson finished with 45 points overall while Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in 26 points of his own.
De’Aaron Fox did was he could to keep the Kings competing without Domantas Sabonis available to play. He finished with 41 points and 11 assists in those efforts.

Right now, Utah holds a one-game lead over the Mavericks. The stakes being that home-court advantage is at stake for the first round of the 2022 NBA playoffs make it significant.
There isn’t much the Sacramento Kings have to necessarily play for the rest of the season given their struggles since the Domantas Sabonis trade. However, this will be a good test for them.
