Reggie Jackson and the LA Clippers (35-34) will take on Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons (18-49) in part of the NBA Sunday slate.
After giving the Boston Celtics a real fight, the Pistons lost 114-103 after being held to two made field goals in the fourth quarter of the game. Cade Cunningham (27), Jerami Grant (20), and Marvin Bagley III (20) each finished with at least 20 points.
The Clippers came up short in their 112-106 loss to the Atlanta Hawks in their previous outing. Reggie Jackson (24) and Ivica Zubac (24) combined for 48 points, but it wasn’t enough.
There is a need for the Clippers to stack up wins to for momentum and to maintain their outlook in the Western Conference standings. They are 4.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers and trail the Minnesota Timberwolves by four games.
