Joel Embiid and James Harden struggled from the floor and relied on a high volume of free-throw attempts to turn things around. In this one, Embiid finished with 35 points and 16 rebounds while Harden logged 26 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Wendell Carter Jr. had a big game with 23 points and 12 rebounds and the Orlando Magic as a whole shot 18-43 (41.9 percent) from beyond the arc vs the 76ers.

The Sixers were looking to bounce back after the disappointing 129-100 loss against the Brooklyn Nets, they experienced on national television in a game where James Harden, in particular, had a poor performance.

Prior to their underwhelming loss to the Nets, the Sixers had been clicking quite nicely with Harden in the fold and will look to get back on track in this matchup.

There’s a lot to play for from the Philadelphia 76ers’ perspective with them having a legitimate outlook to finish anywhere from the top-seed in the Eastern Conference, all the way down to potentially fifth.

For the Magic, they are focused on the development of their young players like Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs. The 2022 NBA Draft will be another opportunity to add an intriguing prospect to their core. They trail only the Houston Rockets in odds for the No. 1 overall pick.
