Detroit Pistons
One of the teams that will have the most cap space and ability to open up even more in the offseason is the Detroit Pistons and they have plenty of needs to address as a franchise.
Finding versatile, young talents to put around Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey and Jerami Grant is key for Detroit and finding a reliable point guard that can take pressure off of Cunningham seems to be the main goal of this franchise.
They do have Cory Joseph and Killian Hayes, but the Pistons are interested in adding a new point guard and Jalen Brunson is said to be on their radar.
The Pistons reportedly called the Mavericks close to the trade deadline inquiring about a potential Jalen Brunson trade and many around the league believe that the Pistons will make a move to sign Brunson from under Dallas in the offseason.

Like the Knicks, the Pistons are going to be a heavy competition to the Mavericks in the “Jalen Brunson race” this offseason and Brunson should definitely give this organization some thought.
It may be a small step backwards in terms of the Pistons being a playoff contender, but Detroit is building something special and the upside in Detroit may be a lot brighter than that in Dallas.
