Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (41-25) took down Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder (20-45) during the NBA Tuesday slate. The reigning champions won with 142-115 being the final score.

It has been an impressive stretch for the reigning NBA champion Bucks since dealing with a start to the 2021-22 season riddled with injuries. They have rapidly trended in the right direction and appear to be peaking at the right time once again.

Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee capitalized against a weak interior Thunder defense. There was an expectation for this to get ugly based on how short-handed Oklahoma City was and that was truly the case.

Antetokounmpo finished with 39 points on a staggering 13-19 (68.4%) from the floor, 4-4 from deep (100 percent), and 9-13 (69.2%) from the line and chipped in seven boards and dimes apiece to go along with.

There was a real lack of personnel to slow down Khris Middleton and the rest of the supporting cast. Middleton poured in 25 points while five additional players reached double-figures.

The Milwaukee Bucks simply took care of business against a losing team that was without a lot of key players.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are certainly no stranger to injuries as they are currently playing without Josh Giddey and Luguentz Dort. The starting lineup around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is getting increasingly thin, literally and figuratively.

It was another admirable effort from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in this one as he finished with 33 points, eight rebounds, and 14 assists. Even despite the team shooting 16-39 (41.0%) from deep, their defense was too atrocious to have a chance to win.

KYRIE EARLY LANDING SPOTS: The 2021-22 NBA season has been a strange one for Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets, to say the least. It still remains as such given he is still ineligible to play in home games and would not even be able to play in a road matchup with the Toronto Raptors in the play-in tournament. READ MORE
