Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies (44-21) hosted the Orlando Magic (16-49) at FedEx Forum during the NBA Saturday slate. The result for the Grizz was a 124-96 blowout victory.
Ja Morant (25) and Desmond (24) combined for 49 points as the Grizzlies comfortably got by the Magic in this contest. Memphis outscored Orlando by a staggering 37-16 in the second quarter and there was no coming back from such a hole at that point.
This largely was expected for a Grizzlies vs Magic matchup. Regardless, it was intriguing to see Memphis bounce back after being dealt a 120-107 loss at the hands of the Boston Celtics in their previous outing. The way in which that game played out was dramatic as Jayson Tatum scored 24 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter.
