Trade Richaun Holmes
With Domantas Sabonis now in the frontcourt, the Kings do not necessarily have a need for Richaun Holmes anymore. They could hypothetically play Sabonis and Holmes together, but since Domantas Sabonis has arrived in Sacramento, Richaun Holmes’ minutes have declined drastically and he seems to be out of the rotation right now.
Just one year after signing a four-year, $46.5 million contract with the Kings, Holmes could realistically be on the move in the offseason.
The center market is small in the NBA right now, but quite a few teams could show interest in Richaun Holmes given that he is a proven two-way big man that can impact the game in the paint.
The Trail Blazers could be in need of a new center in the offseason with Jusuf Nurkic being a free agent, the Thunder really need to address their frontcourt and the Knicks could also be in the market for another big man to replace Mitchell Robinson.

Should they make Holmes available in trade talks, the Kings could be able to bring in 1-2 key role players for their second unit, or they could package Richaun Holmes with Harrison Barnes to get that other All-Star talent they need.
Richaun Holmes’ contract is very affordable right now and with him being under contract long-term, the Kings could return a solid amount of value for him in a trade this upcoming offseason.
