NBA Injury News: Porzingis Makes Major Step Toward Wizards Debut

The Washington Wizards made the surprising move to acquire former NBA All-Star Kristaps Porzingis at the trade deadline in a deal that sent Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans to the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington, Porzingis was cleared to participate in 5-on-5 for the first time since being acquired by the Wizards via trade. He’s been sidelined since late January due to a bone bruise in his knee.

Given Kristaps Porzingis’ struggles to remain healthy, he’s been a fixture to watch in NBA injury news over the last few years. Will he manage to stay healthy after his return? If so, he could prove to be a key factor in the Washington Wizards’ push for a play-in spot.
