One aspect of the blockbuster trade that the Philadelphia 76ers completed with the Brooklyn Nets before the NBA trade deadline was the depth that the 76ers surrendered. While James Harden and Ben Simmons were the headliners, the 76ers parted ways with multiple key rotation players in Seth Curry and Andre Drummond.
Harden was inserted into Curry’s spot in the starting lineup, but the 76ers have been looking for a replacement for Drummond since the deal was completed. He was playing excellently as Joel Embiid’s backup before he was on his way to Brooklyn.
A true backup center is the only thing that Philadelphia is missing right now. Paul Millsap, who was acquired along with Harden, can play some minutes there. But, the team will certainly miss the size that Drummond brought to the table to bang down low with opposing centers.
The front office could be looking to solve that problem by signing DeAndre Jordan. Jordan was bought out by the Los Angeles Lakers this week and the 76ers are the frontrunners to sign the veteran big man.

However, the 76ers have a full roster. So, if they want to sign Jordan, someone will have to get released. While there are candidates to be released, the 76ers would be better off steering clear of Jordan.
