Gary Harris – Orlando Magic
There has been no word out of Orlando on the future of Gary Harris and sources have told NBA Analysis Network that Harris and the Magic have yet to sit down and talk about the possibility of a buyout agreement.
The Magic do in fact like Gary Harris’ production on their roster this season and they view him as an essential veteran for some of the young talents on their roster.
Similarly to why they did not trade Terrance Ross over the last several months, the Orlando Magic are not wanting to give up Gary Harris for nothing because they feel that he has been a great mentor for the growing talents in their system.
Now in his 8th NBA season, Harris has averaged 11.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and has shot 38% from deep this year. Should he be bought out of his contract, Gary Harris would provide an immediate boost off-the-bench for a playoff contending team.

In the final year of his contract though, it is hard to imagine that the Magic will look to just let the veteran go, that is unless he would like to be bought out of his contract within the next week.
Orlando has no reason right now to give Gary Harris away and since he is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason anyways, the Magic really have nothing to gain by reaching a buyout agreement with Harris this season.
