2. Miami Heat
The Miami Heat made one deal ahead of the deadline, sending KZ Okpala to the Oklahoma City Thunder. That deal opened up a roster spot which they are likely to use on the buyout market.
The Heat have been connected to Goran Dragic, but if they miss out on him, Dennis Schroder is someone they should have plenty of interest in as well. Schroder would provide great insurance behind Kyle Lowry, who has already missed 13 games this season and is scoring the fewest points per game in his career since he became a full-time starter during the 2010-11 season with the Rockets.
Schroder would combine with Tyler Herro to be one of the most dynamic scoring duos off the bench in the NBA. Herro is running away as the favorite to win the Sixth Man of the Year award this season with his impressive season he’s having for the Heat.
Adding Schroder to the mix would shore up the backcourt, which could use some help behind Lowry. Adding him and potentially getting Victor Oladipo back at some point would bolster the Heat second unit that has sometimes been lacking beyond Herro.

A bench trio of Herro, Schroder and Oladipo is something many teams would struggle to compete against as all three are capable of being starters on teams around the league.
