New York Knicks
The 2021-22 season has been a complete disaster for the New York Knicks, as they are a worse defensive team than they were a season ago and still have no consistent offensive production, but they are still in striking distance of making the play-in tournament and salvaging their season.
Currently 25-34, the Knicks sit 3.5 games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the 10-seed in the Eastern Conference and they are currently 2 games back from the Wizards for 11th place.
It is not going to be easy for the Knicks to turn things around and they will need some help from other teams along the way, but New York is still alive and in the hunt for a play-in tournament spot this season.
While he did struggle earlier this season, Julius Randle has really kicked things into “high gear” as of late with R.J. Barrett currently recovering from an ankle sprain.

Since the start of February, Randle is averaging 28.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, 6.6 assists and has shot 45.1% from the floor. With Barrett expected to return after the All-Star break, as well as Derrick Rose on the mend from mid-season ankle surgery, the Knicks will be getting two key offensive weapons back just in time for the stretch-run of the season.
