The New York Knicks have been disappointing throughout the 2021-22 NBA season and now, the trade deadline has almost come and gone. Nothing is going to plan, Julius Randle is underperforming, and their offseason acquisitions haven’t panned out the way they might have liked. It’s just rough.

Randle has cranked up his play in the last few games but even despite that, there has been viral moments of him getting into it with a video coordinator, and things of that nature. The team needs to shake some things up and get on the same page with each other to make a playoff push.

It has gotten to the point where the Knicks have made almost everyone on the roster available as they attempt to play their young guys. Names such as Evan Fournier, Kemba Walker, and Alec Burks have all been brought up in rumors.

That being said, New York could still look to add valuable assets at the deadline. They are still in the hunt for a great point guard, and pairing RJ Barrett with some fresh young talent could be exactly what they need to do in order to plan for the future.
