Would this trade make sense for the Houston Rockets?
It is clear the direction the Houston Rockets heading since the trade that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. The team has since selected Jalen Green as the franchise cornerstone.
There are still some veterans on the roster that need to be moved and Wood could be one of the first ones to go. If this is the case, Houston will be able to take advantage of his value and get back a nice return.
With Green taking over as the focal point of the franchise, Houston has their player to build around. John Wall and Eric Gordon could be sent away at some point while Wood is a dark-horse candidate to be traded.
When looking at the return, PJ Washington can contribute right away and be a piece long-term. Kai Jones could be a long-term project for the team, or another player they could re-route in a separate deal for more rebuilding assets.
