Given how congested the standings are in the NBA this season, teams are swapping spots on an almost nightly basis. Put together a few wins and you will surge up the standings. Suffer some losses, you will find yourself leapfrogged by numerous teams.

As we start February, one of the busiest months in the NBA calendar with the trade deadline and All-Star Weekend, a few teams are riding some positive momentum. One of those teams is the Phoenix Suns, who trended up early in the season and have remained there.

They are riding an 11-game winning streak, but they are not the only hot team currently in the NBA. Staying on their tails are the Golden State Warriors, who are riding a six-game winning streak of their own.

Golden State had a couple of hiccups, as they are reintegrating Klay Thompson into their starting lineup. That has led to diminished roles for a few players, such as Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins, who are adjusting to their new roles.

They seem to be figuring things out, as the Golden State Warriors are picking up steam once again. This is not a team you want to play against when they are clicking on all cylinders.

A little further down the Western Conference standings, the Denver Nuggets are playing some strong basketball. Led by reigning MVP and front runner again this season, Nikola Jokic, Denver has won five straight games and eight of their last 10.

During that streak, Jokic is averaging a triple-double with 27 points, 12.4 rebounds and 10 assists. The Denver Nuggets are now only one game behind the Utah Jazz, who are struggling mightily, for fourth place and homecourt advantage in the first round.

Last but not least, in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks were surging as well. Before their loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday night, Atlanta was riding a seven-game winning streak.

That pushed them back into the Play-In Tournament picture, as they are currently holding down 10th place with a record of 24-26. They are only 5.5 games behind the sixth-place Brooklyn Nets to get out of the Play-In Tournament, so one more hot run and they could be in the mix there as well.

Their recent play is more reminiscent of the team that went to the Eastern Conference Finals last year. That level of play has been far and few between this season for the Atlanta Hawks, but they are attempting to now right the ship.
