Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
Trading De’Aaron Fox does not seem like a smart move for the Sacramento Kings at this time, especially since they are trying to end a 15-season playoff drought. However, Ben Simmons is one of the only players that the Kings should be willing to trade Fox for because of all the things Simmons can do on the floor.
He is labeled as an offensive liability because of his inefficiency to shoot, but he has played four seasons in the league, averaging 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists and has shot 56% from the floor in his career.
Those are pretty good numbers for a 7-foot guard and you really cannot complain about his points per game average or his shooting percentage. Philadelphia has not utilized Ben Simmons correctly through the years, as they have tried to make him a more traditional guard instead of just using him as the 7-foot facilitator he is.
In Sacramento next to Tyrese Halbiurton, Simmons could continue to evolve into the two-way threat he was destined to become and most importantly, he can simply be him instead of having to try and fit into a certain mold that the Philadelphia 76ers have been wanting him to be next to Embiid.

De’Aaron Fox has been the Sacramento Kings’ “All-Star-level” talent during his five years with the team, but Ben Simmons’ upside is much greater and he is already a proven All-Star.
With Simmons and Haliburton commanding the backcourt, Sacramento could suddenly become an attractive destination for another high-level talent looking to lead a team moving forward.
