The Dallas Mavericks currently sit at fifth place in the Western Conference and have been one of the NBA’s hottest teams throughout the month of January. They’ve bounced back from an up and down start to the year and are looking to be one of the contenders to come out of the West.

Luka Doncic has been playing at an elevated level as of late. He’s averaging 29.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 9.0 assists over his last six games with his three-ball dropping at a strong 37.5% clip.

Despite this, the team could still use some more scorers on the roster.

Outside of those two and Jalen Brunson, almost everyone else on the roster has been fairly inconsistent in terms of production. Dallas might want to take a look at the trade market for scorers ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

Just a few states over, the Atlanta Hawks have been surging as of late but still seemed primed to shuffle their roster around a bit at the NBA trade deadline.

Some of the pieces they have around Trae Young aren’t panning out as well as the team may have hopes, and recent reports have stated that everyone on the roster (outside of Young and Clint Capela) is available in trades.

If the Mavs want to add a scorer at the NBA trade deadline, why not take a look at Bogdan Bogdanovic? He’s having somewhat of a down year, but if they capitalize on his dip in value, it could pan out for them in a big way down the line. What would that trade package look like?
