The New York Knicks have been struggling to meet expectations this year. After they were one of the more surprising teams in the NBA last season, exploding out to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, they now currently project to be fighting for the play-in at season’s end.

Both Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier, the organization’s two main offseason acquisitions, haven’t really panned out in the way the team had hoped. Neither has played at a consistent level, with Walker even being completely removed from the rotation at one point.

New York has been searching for a franchise point guard for what seems like the last decade. Walker was never going to be that, but based on some recent NBA rumors, there could be a point guard available that would definitely fit the bill for the Knicks.

The Sacramento Kings are expected to be sellers at the deadline, and to many people’s surprise, they are open to trade offers for point guard De’Aaron Fox. While there has been mention of how they remain committed to building around Fox and Tyrese Haliburton, there is a feeling from league executives that Fox is still ‘gettable’ in trade talks.
