Justin Holiday – Indiana Pacers

All the attention in Indiana is on Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner and Caris LeVert at the trade deadline this season, but teams should really start paying more attention to Justin Holiday. Now in his 9th NBA season, Holiday has continued to be a reliable perimeter scorer, as well as someone that can be counted on defensively as well.

In 43 games with the Pacers this season, Justin Holiday has averaged 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and has shot 37.2% from three-point range.

Making just $6M this season and then set to make $6.3M next season, the veteran wing is affordable and can make an impact with a team like the Suns right away on the perimeter.

For his career, Holiday has shot 36.5% from three-point range and he fits the mold of a “3-and-D” type of player that the Suns can rely on for production off-the-bench on both ends of the floor.

Being a potential back-up for guys like Jae Crowder and Mikal Bridges, Justin Holiday would provide the Suns with more wing depth and another experienced player who has proven that he can help a playoff contending team in this league.

He may not be the most impactful player the Suns can pursue ahead of the trade deadline, but Holiday understands his role in this league and presents really good value given his small contract and production on the floor either in or out of the starting rotation.

Figuring out the logistics of a trade for Holiday should not be that difficult for Phoenix either, that is assuming the Pacers are willing to take back Dario Saric in a trade.

Trading Saric and a future first-round pick or two second-round picks for Justin Holiday should be fair value for a bottom-tier Pacers team to take back this season for their role player on the wing.

Experience means everything to a contending team and given all the experience the Phoenix Suns have on their roster currently, Justin Holiday would fit right in and look like he has been with the team since the start of the season.
