The Indiana Pacers have not been having a good season thus far and with the NBA trade deadline just about two weeks away, big changes seem to be on the horizon for this once contending franchise.
Currently 17-31 on the season, the Pacers sit six games back from being in the mix for the play-in tournament in the Eastern Conference and injuries have continued to hurt them this season.
Not only is T.J. Warren still out after suffering a foot injury early on last season, but Domantas Sabonis is out with an ankle sprain, Malcolm Brogdon continues to battle an Achilles injury and Myles Turner is dealing with a “stress reaction” in his left foot.
While not much has been revealed by the team about Turner’s injury, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Pacers’ big man is expected to be out beyond the February 10 trade deadline this season with his left foot injury.

Leading up to the deadline, Myles Turner has been one of the most talked about names on the trade block and had been drawing a ton of interest from various playoff contending teams in the league. Now though, Turner’s value has taken a massive hit and the Indiana Pacers’ chances of getting what they want for him are low.
Having one more year left on his contract, Indiana could very well wait until the offseason to try and trade Myles Turner, but there are still a few teams showing interest in him, one of which is the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Having Karl-Anthony Towns, it is a little weird to see the Timberwolves targeting another big man, but their lack of frontcourt depth has hurt them from time-to-time this season. Plus, the idea of pairing Towns with a rim-protector like Myles Turner is definitely intriguing for a Timberwolves franchise looking to make it back to the playoffs for the first-time since 2018.
