Does this trade make sense for the LA Clippers?
Can you imagine a world in which the LA Clippers actually help out their biggest rivals in the Los Angeles Lakers because I sure as heck can’t!
The Los Angeles Clippers have struggled this season with both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard being out and while they could absolutely make a move to try and keep themselves in the playoff discussion this season, it is much more likely that the Clippers “sell” some assets at the trade deadline.
Going out and bringing in Russell Westbrook does nothing but cause a headache for this organization both financially and roster-wise, especially since Reggie Jackson is this team’s starting point guard.
Marcus Morris, Serge Ibaka and Eric Bledsoe are all three players the Clippers could look to deal at the deadline to gather some more future assets, but this trade is one of the worst deals the Clippers could ever make.

Not only do they help the Lakers big-time, a team that they would rather see go 0-82 before helping, but they take on Westbrook’s contract, arguably the worst contract in the entire league given his unreliable play this season.
Unless prime Shaq and prime Kareem are coming to the LA Clippers in this deal as well, there is no chance that it happens. This is an absolutely joke from the Clippers’ point of view and would leave this front-office laughing as they hang up the phone on Lakers’ GM Rob Pelinka.
