Does this trade make sense for the Boston Celtics?
Anthony Davis would be a huge addition for the Boston Celtics and while he is one of the only players the Celtics should consider trading Jaylen Brown for, there is not a chance that they can convince the Lakers to trade him.
Not to mention, the Celtics would be giving up a ton of value in Brown, Smart and Nesmith, plus a second-round draft pick for just Anthony Davis.
Talen Horton-Tucker has been overvalued in Los Angeles for quite some time now and while he is only 21-years-old and has a lot of potential to grow, his upside does not surpass that of Marcus Smart and is pretty equal with that of Aaron Nesmith right now.
The 2027 first-round pick Boston gets in this trade is also useless because it is so far out of the way. They would not be able to trade this pick for value and the Celtics would be left with even more depth problems on their roster than they currently have.
