Luguentz Dort – Oklahoma City Thunder
This would be a long-shot trade idea for the Chicago Bulls, but Luguentz Dort is certainly the kind of player that they are missing on the wing. Entering the league in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State, nobody was really paying attention to Dort as anything more than an end-of-the-bench type of talent and at best, a two-way talent in Oklahoma City.
With the Thunder looking for young talents though, at the time and versatility next to Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort quickly stepped into a big role with Oklahoma City due to his ability to defend.
Many tend to remember Luguentz Dort’s performances in the NBA Bubble against the Houston Rockets where he was a very active defender on James Harden and Russell Westbrook.
Last season, the Thunder began rebuilding, and already have a year of experience under his belt, Luguentz Dort quickly became the Thunder’s best defender and finished third on the team in scoring.

Now, this season, Dort has become an even better defender, he has become more comfortable shooting on the perimeter and is drawing a lot of interest on the trade market from several contending teams.
While Oklahoma City has shown no willingness to want to trade their young wing, GM Sam Presti is always willing to talk value pertaining to trades and should be willing to at least hear out what the Bulls would be willing to offer.
Again, it is a long shot to believe that Bulls could land Luguentz Dort from the Thunder, but a trade package predicated around Coby White and/or Patrick Williams, plus a future first-round pick, could be enough for the Thunder to at least consider this trade.

Being just 22-years-old, under contract for one more year at $1.9M, and being an elite-level perimeter defender, Luguentz Dort checks off all the boxes for what the Bulls should want to add this season.
There may be more overall upside keeping guys like White and Williams long-term, but the Bulls are built to win right now and Dort has proven that he can be a key secondary talent in this league for a very long-time to come.
