Despite their recent successful stretch, something still seems off with the Boston Celtics as the NBA trade deadline nears. They have won five of their last seven games but just lost a heartbreaker to the Charlotte Hornets in a game where neither Jayson Tatum nor Jaylen Brown could seem to hit a shot.
The common consensus this season is that the C’s do not want to split up the duo of Tatum and Brown.
Their front office has said it, sources have said it, and even Adrian Wojnarowski has said it. If Woj is saying something, then it should probably be considered the truth.
That being said, those two are by far the most valuable pieces on their roster. While it’s highly unlikely they would ever consider trading Tatum, the idea of dealing Brown is not one that is scoffed at. In fact, a lot of people think that could be the best way forward for Boston.

Enter the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs are a solid seven games above .500 at 26-19 and sit at fifth in the Western Conference. Kristaps Porzingis has been playing well, but he hasn’t been the most consistent second option over the years.
