Does this trade make sense for the San Antonio Spurs?
Trading Bryn Forbes for future value makes sense for the San Antonio Spurs, but the Los Angeles Lakers really have nothing to offer up besides Talen Horton-Tucker. Given how much the Lakers’ front-office likes Horton-Tucker, they will not be willing to trade him for Forbes, giving the Spurs a handful of no value assets.
Maybe the Spurs would be alright with bringing in two second-round picks that give them options in the offseason and in trades, but DeAndre Jordan is useless for the Spurs and Kent Bazemore is nothing more than a veteran on a one-year deal.
Neither player would hold a role in San Antonio, making this trade Forbes for two second-round draft picks.
This could be enough for the Spurs to make this trade, however, Scotto noted that other teams are interested in Bryn Forbes because of his shooting abilities.

Depending on what other contending teams are offering could very well dictate whether or not this trade makes sense for the San Antonio Spurs, but based off of first glance, it is hard to imagine San Antonio would be intrigued by this offer.
