Who Could Be Moved?
Now in his 5th NBA season, De’Aaron Fox is the face of the Sacramento Kings franchise and has been their best overall talent for years, but he may also be their only chance of improving via trades.
Fox is undoubtedly the highest valued player on the Kings’ roster right now and multiple teams have expressed interest in pursuing him in the recent months.
Whether or not the 76ers would want De’Aaron Fox for Ben Simmons is a whole different question, but the 24-year-old point guard is definitely someone to watch ahead of the trade deadline because the Kings have proven in the past that they are not afraid to move their best player to take a gamble on future value.
Aside from Fox, Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley III and Harrison Barnes remain the three most talked about names in Sacramento pertaining to the trade deadline.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Could Kings Be Tobias Harris Suitor In Ben Simmons Trade?
Hield was almost traded this past offseason to the Lakers for a trade package that included Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell, but then trade talks flatlined after Los Angeles agreed to terms with the Wizards for Russell Westbrook.
Since then, no teams have really inquired about Buddy Hield’s availability because it is not a secret anymore that the Kings would like to move his contract. Making $61.5M through 2023, Hield is taking up a lot of cap space in Sacramento and is expendable to them.
