Myles Turner
The Indiana Pacers have really struggled this season and with them being 15-28, it should not be shocking to see them be “sellers” at the trade deadline. Given his value to the Pacers, it is hard to imagine that All-Star Domantas Sabonis will be on the move, but both Myles Turner and Caris LeVert continue to be key trade assets ahead of the trade deadline.
Turner has been included in trade rumors dating back to last season at the trade deadline and trade interest in him has continued into this season. With the Pacers struggling and Myles Turner not being involved in the game plan too much offensively, now could very well be the time that they look to move him, especially since he has one year left on his contract after this season.
Now in his 7th NBA season, Myles Turner is leading the league in blocked shots once again and has led the league in blocks per game two of the last three seasons, not including this season. Defensively, Turner has been a monster for the Pacers, but they barely look to get him involved on offense, sparking frustrations for the big man.
Recently when talking with The Athletic’s Jared Weiss, Turner voiced his frustrations by stating, “It’s clear that I’m not valued as anything more than a glorified role player here, and I want something more, more opportunity. I’m trying really hard to make the role that I’m given here work and find a way to maximize it. I’ve been trying to the past two, three seasons. But it’s clear to me that, just numbers-wise, I’m not valued as more than a rotational role player, and I hold myself in a higher regard than that.”

That sure sounds like someone that does not see his future in Indiana long-term, which has sparked even more trade talks about Turner. However, Myles Turner recently injured his left foot and the extent of the injury is unknown. Should he be forced to miss an extended period of time, Myles Turner’s trade value could take a massive hit.
The New York Knicks have been one of the many teams involved in trade rumors for Turner and they do need to get better defensively if they are to make the playoffs again. Mitchell Robinson and Nerlens Noel have been inconsistent centers, which is why Myles Turner could hold a big role as a two-way player next to Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.
