Does this trade make sense for the Oklahoma City Thunder?
Going out and trading for P.J. Washington at the expense of Derrick Favors would be yet another “masterplan” move made by GM Sam Presti.
With all of the draft picks Presti has gathered for the Oklahoma City Thunder through the years and them already showing major signs of improvement with their inexperienced roster, trading for Washington would only speed up Oklahoma City’s rebuild process.
He is a lengthy and agile power-forward that has extended his game to the perimeter, so there is no reason why the Thunder would not want to trade for P.J. Washington.
It would cost them a first-round pick in 2023, but the Thunder would be left with four other first-round picks in 2023 and they have 34 other draft picks overall!
