The New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks are the first two teams to make a sizeable deal ahead of the NBA trade deadline—moving Cam Reddish to a new team ahead of his restricted free agency.

As first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Atlanta Hawks are sending Cam Reddish to the New York Knicks along along with Solomon Hill, and a 2025 second-round pick (via Brooklyn Nets) in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick (via Charlotte Hornets) and Kevin Knox II.

ESPN Sources: The Atlanta Hawks are trading forward Cam Reddish to the New York Knicks for a deal that includes a protected 2022 first-round pick via Charlotte. Knicks also acquire Solomon Hill and a 2025 second-round pick via Brooklyn in trade. New York is including Kevin Knox in trade to Atlanta.

Reddish’s tenure with the Hawks was impacted significantly by injury but ended with the coaching staff looking at other options in recent games. He is having a solid season with averages of 11.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists but is receiving just 23.4 minutes per game.

Cam Reddish is extension for a contract extension this summer but his signed through the 2022-23 season. His current representation being Creative Artists Agency (CAA) should not be taken lightly given the ties Knicks president of basketball operations Leon Rose shares with the agency being a former agent.
