Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
As much as De’Aaron Fox means to the Kings right now, he is not going to be the difference in this team being a true playoff threat because of the fact that they have a ton of other talents in the backcourt.
Both Davion Mitchell and Tyrese Haliburton are young, promising looking guards on the Kings’ roster right now and having them as the two guards for this team moving forward offers a lot to like about.
Trading De’Aaron Fox for Brandon Ingram addresses a key need for an elite-level talent on the wing and Ingram could pair nicely with both Haliburton and Mitchell because of his ability to take over games himself.
Halliburton has proven to be a really effective passer and facilitator, but the Kings really do not have a “go-to” scoring weapon right now that they can count on.

Brandon Ingram is already a proven All-Star and is starting to grow into one of the better, young two-way players in the league. If they were to acquire Ingram, the Kings would surely be in the play-in tournament this season with a good chance to end their playoff skid.
