Sacramento Kings Receive: F Brandon Ingram, G Tomas Satoransky, CLE 2022 2nd Round Pick (via NOP), LAL 2023 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to NOP – now SAC)
New Orleans Pelicans Receive: G De’Aaron Fox, F Marvin Bagley III

Both sides would surely have to coerce one another into making this deal, but both the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans do need to try and make some changes to their roster this season.

The Kings need to upgrade their talent on the wing and as for the Pelicans, they really need a franchise point guard.

While he has not been an All-Star, De’Aaron Fox is one of the best players in the league 24-years-old or younger and brings a ton of upside to a team that already has a freak-athlete in Zion Williamson.

These two running together in transition is definitely a scary thought and the Pelicans would make out well by acquiring Marvin Bagley III in addition to Fox.

Bagley’s time in Sacramento is quickly coming to an end and after not extending his contract in the offseason, the Kings are ready to move on from the former No. 2 overall pick.

Marvin Bagley could be yet another key talent the Pelicans add to their roster, one that can provide some much-needed depth in the frontcourt behind Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas.

De’Aaron Fox has been a fantastic young building block for the Kings and they do not necessarily want to trade him, but now may be the best time to do so. Tyrese Haliburton has established himself as one of the best players in Sacramento and rookie Davion Mitchell is someone that the Kings do not want to keep on the bench any longer than they need to.

The Kings know that they cannot play these two guards alongside De’Aaron Fox at all-times, which is why moving Fox now for someone like Brandon Ingram could bring a lot of value to this franchise.

They would finally have a strong rotation with Mitchell, Haliburton, Ingram, Barnes and Holmes with Buddy Hield still being on this roster as their sixth-man. That is not the best starting-five in the NBA, but it is definitely one that can bring the Kings back to the playoffs for the first-time in a long-time.

Both the Kings and Pelicans are not actively discussing a deal at this time and it is hard to imagine that they would come to such an agreement, but there is certainly value to be had for both teams in this scenario.
