Charlotte Hornets Receive: C/F Anthony Davis, G Kendrick Nunn, G Kent Bazemore, C DeAndre Jordan
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F Gordon Hayward, F Kelly Oubre Jr., F PJ Washington, C Mason Plumlee, 2023 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick
This is probably the best trade package the Charlotte Hornets could offer for Anthony Davis.
There could be a deal including Terry Rozier, but then the Los Angeles Lakers would have to throw in Talen Horton-Tucker and more for salary-matching purposes.
Davis has been alright this season, but his regression in the shooting department has been extremely detrimental to the Lakers’ success. This year, he’s averaging 23.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 17.9 percent from deep.
Gordon Hayward has been putting together another efficient season in Charlotte. He’s putting up 17.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three-point range. Kelly Oubre Jr. is averaging 16.6 points and shooting 37.3 percent from deep.

Charlotte’s big men are also playing fairly well. Mason Plumlee is averaging 6.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 60.7 percent from the field. PJ Washington is putting up 10.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from deep.
Los Angeles would be getting some great depth in a trade like this one, while the Charlotte Hornets would focus on putting another star alongside Ball and Bridges. At the end of the day, though, why should each team be interested in this specific trade?
