The Indiana Pacers are one of the teams that will be making moves ahead of the NBA trade deadline. Their roster has needed shaking up for a while and it sounds as if they are finally ready to make that happen.

It was revealed that Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner and Caris LeVert were on the trade block. Of the three, it sounds as if Turner is generating the most interest. While Turner isn’t a star in the regular sense, as he doesn’t have an All-Star appearance in his career. However, he is a star when it comes to the defensive end.

Turner is an elite rim protector, leading the league with 2.9 blocks per game. It would be the third time in four seasons that he leads the NBA in blocks as he is one of the premier defenders in the league. He alters even more shots per game, as opponents do not want to challenge him at the rim.

The Texas product can change a team’s outlook as the defensive anchor. Offensively, he is no slouch. He is a good 3-point shooter and has shown this season he can do more than just float around the perimeter shooting jump shots.

Turner provides the unicorn skillset that teams are looking for. He can be a difference-maker on both ends of the court and is someone that could drastically change the playoff race depending on which team picks him up.
