Ben Simmons – Philadelphia 76ers

Making a claim on whether or not the 76ers will trade Ben Simmons at this point really is a gamble because it is not a matter of if the 76ers are “willing” to trade him.

Daryl Morey and this front-office have made their intentions to trade Simmons very clear, but they are not willing to budge on the asking price of an “All-Star-level” or championship-caliber player in return.

There are very few of these types of talents around the league and so far, no team in the league has been willing to offer this kind of value for Ben Simmons. Some teams have put together very lucrative offers for the three-time All-Stars, but the 76ers have stood firm on what they want.

Maybe a team will be more inclined to offer their best talent closer to the trade deadline for Ben Simmons, one of the better two-way players in the entire league, but this is still a big question mark this season.

It is hard to imagine that a team is going to want to trade their best player for someone that has not played since June/July, which is why it is reasonable to believe that Simmons will not be traded at the deadline this season.

There is just too much to unfold at the moment and this situation is going to come down to two things. The first is if the 76ers budge on their asking price, which they have not to this point, and the second is if another team like the Kings gives up someone like De’Aaron Fox.

Until then, Ben Simmons is technically on the 76ers’ roster and he is going to continue sitting on his couch binge-watching shows on Netflix and Hulu.
