Terrence Ross Remains Coveted Veteran Scorer
One key name to keep an eye on pertaining to the Magic in trade talks right now is Terrence Ross. Now in his 10th NBA season, 6th with the Orlando Magic, Ross has just one year left on his contract and has cemented himself as one of the better bench scorers in the league.
Last season, Terrence Ross only played in 46 games, but he finished the year with 666 total points scored off-the-bench, the 10th most in the NBA. As for this season, he has played in 33 games for the Magic and has averaged 12.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and has shot 41.6% from the floor off-the-bench.
Ross is the veteran leader of this young Magic team right now and the team does like having him around, but now is the time for them to capitalize on any value he has.
Not being a long-term solution for Orlando, Terrence Ross could definitely bring a fair-sized return to the Magic seeing as he has one more year left on his contract and is owed just $24M in total through the end of next season.
